Brandt Snedeker’s trailed by three points heading into the Sunday singles at Medinah, leaving Team USA requiring eight points from the final 12 matches to avoid a first defeat since 1998, but responded in spectacular fashion.
Cameron Young, Justin Thomas and Scottie Scheffler all delivered points early for Team USA, only for Tom Kim and Sungjae Im to register key wins to move the Internationals within three points of a first away win in the biennial contest.
