FOX NFL insider Jay Glazer said he spoke with Reid in the days leading up to the game, and even asked the longtime coach if he might consider retiring after tonight’s championship tilt. Wide receiver Mecole Hardman made his long-awaited return from injury in the title game. After making a few splash plays, though, Hardman re-injured the pelvis injury that kept him out for weeks.
Glazer’s report has sparked plenty of conversation among NFL fans today.
“Perhaps Eric Bieniemy finally gets his HC chance,” one said in regards to the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator.

The possibility of Reid stepping away from the game is another story line added to a big game already chock full of them. A win theoretically could entice him to go out on top.
