The Kansas City Chiefs returned to the White House for a consecutive year on Friday, May 31, to celebrate the team’s Super Bowl LVIII win in a visit that comes amid a controversial offseason for the team.at Benedictine College in which he was openly critical of Biden and his COVID-era policies.

“We saw pride, pride given away to tragedy,” Biden said of the mass shooting. “Amid the chaos, this team stepped up again,” he continued, mentioning how several Chiefs players pulled bystanders to safety and reassured frightened children.Other moments during the ceremony had levity, with Biden joking about Kelce’s surprise “speech” during last year’s White House visit, in which Mahomes pulled him from the podium before he could continue his antics.
“Travis, come here. It’s all yours, pal,” Biden said on Friday as Kelce made his way to the podium.
