Eagles’ Saquon Barkley reacts to Super Bowl crowd booing Taylor Swift: ‘I don’t get why she was getting hate’
During Super Bowl LIX, pop star Taylor Swift was met with boos from sections of the crowd when her image appeared on the Jumbotron. Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley expressed confusion over this reaction, stating, “I don’t get it. I don’t get why she was getting hate there.” He emphasized that Swift was present to support her significant other and noted her positive impact on the game, saying, “She’s there to support her significant other and she’s made the game bigger.”
Barkley further highlighted the NFL’s efforts to expand the game internationally, mentioning upcoming games in Brazil, Mexico, and Australia. He believes that Swift’s involvement contributes to this global growth, stating, “Her being a part of it’s only helping that.”
Despite the boos, Barkley maintains that Swift’s presence is beneficial for the NFL and the sport’s international appeal.
