Travis Kelce Admits He’s ‘Frustrated’ with Himself After Chiefs’ Crushing Loss to Broncos
KANSAS CITY — It was supposed to be a statement win. Instead, it ended in silence.
The Kansas City Chiefs fell 28-24 to the Denver Broncos on Sunday, November 2nd, in one of the most frustrating losses of the season — and no one is taking it harder than Travis Kelce himself.
Just hours after the final whistle, on an emotional episode of his New Heights podcast with brother Jason, the 36-year-old tight end didn’t make excuses.
“I’m frustrated with myself, man,” Kelce admitted. “I left plays out there. I gotta be better for the guys.”
For Chiefs Kingdom, those words hit hard.
Kelce, who has been battling through a heavy workload all season while also adjusting to newly married life with Taylor Swift since their July 3rd wedding at Madison Square Garden, finished the game with just 4 catches for 38 yards — his quietest night in months.
The Chiefs led late. Patrick Mahomes was dealing. Then Bo Nix and the Denver defense flipped the script, scoring 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to stun Kansas City at home.
And for Travis, who has built a career on clutch moments in the fourth quarter, watching that comeback from the sideline was brutal.
“I’m at that point in my career where I know what I’m supposed to do, and when I don’t do it, it eats at me,” he said.
Where was Taylor?
Unlike previous big games, Taylor Swift was not in the Arrowhead suite on Sunday. She was in Los Angeles for a Toy Story 5 Q&A event, where she went viral for revealing her and best friend Abigail Anderson still speak in Napoleon Dynamite voices.
But insiders say she was watching. And she called him immediately after the game.
That’s been their rhythm in 2026 — supporting each other from afar when they can’t be side-by-side. She promotes her movies, he fights for another ring.
